Choosing A Treating Physician Minimize
All injured workers who need immediate medical care should seek care from the closest medical facility after an accident at work. Under Montana law, an injured worker has the right to select their treating physician for their injury which will be a physician other than an emergency room physician. If immediate medical care is not needed and the injured worker would like assistance finding a Preferred Medical Provider in your area use the physician finder located below. The MSGIA developed partnerships with medical providers across Montana to provide care for injured workers of our members. If a referral for medical care is needed to another doctor after the initial selection of your treating physician has been made then prior approval is required by the MSGIA.
