The Montana School Boards Association believes strongly that school districts need access to expert advice and quality resources to assist them in managing human resource issues. We focus our Personnel Services on developing our members' skills and knowledge so that they can undertake these responsibilities at the local level, self sufficient and knowledgeable regarding the myriad of laws that regulate this area of local control.
Reduction in Force (RIF) & Contract Negotiations Workshops:
 |
Every January/February, we offer this 4-hour workshop in various locations across the state. Our Personnel Services Director and one of our staff attorneys facilitate these workshops to bring the best presentation material available to school board members. |
 |
If you would like more information about these workshops, please email Andy Sever, Personnel Services Director, at asever@mtsba.org. | |

MTSBA has worked with negotiators from around the state to assist school districts with their collective bargaining and labor relation needs.
