MSGIA/SEC: Why Tabletop Training is Crucial for EOM Preparedness
The MSGIA is working closely with Secure Environmental Consultants (SEC) to develop tabletop training exercises that MSGIA school district members can use to assess and improve their emergency response plans.
Lead SEC school security consultant Jason Bird will conduct a webinar on September 18th at 10:30 am. The one-hour session will focus on working with school teams using tabletop training exercises to stress test their emergency management plans. Jason has developed tabletop training exercises for seven of the most common crisis scenarios occurring in K-12 educational environments. These exercises are designed to help your admin team identify areas for improvement, clarify your district’s level of readiness, and develop emergency management plans based on possible and likely scenarios.
We hope to use tabletop training to ensure the district’s Emergency Management Plans are fully operable. This is just another tool the MSGIA provides to assist districts with their school-risk management assessments, planning, and preparation.
I look forward to seeing you at the webinar on September 18. Here is the link for the training on that day: Click to join Zoom Meeting
